This mothering gig is a whole lot easier with just one child. With Poppet, I could nap when she did so it didn’t matter that I had to get up during the night to feed her. Ever since Pixie’s birth a month ago, the sleep-deprivation began anew but I no longer have the option of sleeping during the day. This two-year age gap seemed like a great idea when Hubby and I planned to have kids, but the reality is hard. One day, in what seems like the far-too-distant future, the age gap will make for a wonderful closeness, I’m sure.
But, right now, if I don’t get some sleep I may not survive to see that day.
